Loved it!! But never want to go back lol. Almost 8 months sober.. Peaceful location. Great counselors, staff, food. Loved the DBT and meditation skills i learned. They usually recommend sober living and iop and that definitely helped me.

My 24yrs Son just completed a 30 day stay here, What a blessing. We live in California, and you can imagine the trepidation I felt sending my Son to "EGYPT" Texas. It turned at to be a great decision. The small amount of patients , and the Great staff, made a life changing impact on both of us. The wonderfully insightful Mrs Deborah, Director and family weekend moderator, it was a very healing , and meaningful experience. I highly recommend this Center, but you have to be willing to put in the work.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience and post recovery. As I write this I am 133 days sober. The community that was created was wonderful. Of the 30+ lives I saw during my stay there nearly 75% have remained sober. If you know anything about recovery centers that number is outrageous. That's not a typical number nor would GORC confirm or deny it. But our community continues to support one another and the results are real.

I highly recommend Great Oaks Recovery to anyone who's struggling with addiction. If you want ( key word )want sobriety. My 23 year old daughter spent 50 days with them. They were wonderful. Mrs. Drake, the director is fabulous. She is highly respected by the clients as well as the families. Family weekend is intense and productive but well worth the time and effort required. Do this for not only your loved one but yourself as well. It's informative and productive. Every day is a battle when your struggling with the disease of addiction but it's one day at a time. No one can give sobriety, the client must want it. The staff is wonderful. The facility is beautiful and serene. I'm forever grateful for they're help and support.

Im not to sure that I can find all the right words to describe what Great Oaks Recovery means to me. the things that I do know is that God had put them in my life. It was there that my life started to change in the very best way. The staff there has hearts that never seem to stop loving all those that enter the doors. If I have ever found a place where the staff will go above and beyond to help someone who is at the absolute bottom of there life and struggling with an addiction Great Oaks is the place. I know for me I am forever connected to them. I havent just been apart of Great Oaks. I am Great Oaks Recovery. It is there that I had found the true me. It is there that I had found out what it is to truly have love for myself and others. The staff has so much compation for everyone that you cant help but love them all. It doesnt matter which department you want to start. From the Administration to the Medical staff or the Kitchen staff. They will be there for you with their hearts in there hands to stand beside you and help you along as you travel through your journey of addiction. I can say today that I truly Love and Care for everyone at Great Oaks Recovery Center in Egypt Texas.
